Mercy Multiplied recently hosted its first MPower Workshop of 2020 in Nashville, TN and it was a record-breaking event. Participants traveled across the country from 18 states, including Alaska, ready to be equipped to help others more effectively. With a limited number of seats available, the workshop was in such high demand that registration had to be closed before the posted registration deadline.

“I am so thrilled and thankful to see how the MPower Workshop has grown over the past couple of years,” shared Executive Director of Outreach, Melanie Wise. “Many people are coming back a second and third time and bringing new people with them every time. It’s just a testament to how the Lord is using this training to really impact people’s lives!”

The purpose of the MPower Workshop is to equip people to help others more effectively. These workshops were created to share Mercy’s expertise as a ministry in order to equip men and women to effectively minister to those who are hurting and struggling in a way that brings about true healing and life transformation, while staying healthy and whole in that process. This workshop is for anyone who wants to be better equipped to help the hurting people in their lives!

“The discussion on boundaries was immediately relatable and convicting,” said workshop attendee, Aaron. “It was not only relatable to ministry but also to professional life.  I would have done well to have gone through this early in my professional military career.  The Keys to Freedom, again, provided a manageable blueprint to model a mentorship program at our Juvenile Center.  It gave practical guidelines on “how” to keep Christ at the center of healing, and not just “that” Christ is at the center of healing.”

Teaching sessions at the MPower Workshop are led by a team of Mercy staff members who have a vast amount of education and experience in counseling and ministering to hurting people in a wide variety of settings, including professional counseling and church pastoral ministry.

Some of the topics covered during the workshop include:

  • Your Call
  • The Why Behind the What
  • Helping Hurting People
  • Safeguarding Yourself
  • Healthy Boundaries
  • Hearing the Voice of God
  • Keys to Freedom

“One of the challenges I had was not knowing what to say when someone came to me and told me what they were going through,” adds attendee, Ana. “I not only learned how important it is to set boundaries, but I believe my ministry to others will be enhanced in every possible way after attending this workshop. What was unique to me was that this really felt like I went to a spiritual retreat! It was empowering and motivating!”

We have several workshops coming up this year, but you should act now and register before April 6. After this day, the price of all our workshops will increase from $125 to $150 per person.
