Wilson and Tallie began to feel overwhelmed in their marriage and soon realized that they were both dealing with unresolved chaos and dysfunction from their childhoods. Though they were both walking with the Lord and their life together had many moments of happiness, they felt that there was a deep joy that was still missing in their lives, leaving them angry with each other and themselves.

Tallie decided to start counseling at our Center for Wellness and Counseling and quickly began to deepen her relationship with the Lord and addressed the pain of her past. Soon after, Wilson began our men’s program and was able to work through areas in his life that he was unaware were holding him in bondage. Now, both Wilson and Tallie have learned how to be more vulnerable and empathetic with one another and have found the joy in their lives that they had been missing for so long. The Lord has healed many of life’s hurts they were carrying, and as a result, generational patterns have been broken.  They are now equipped to work together when conflict or uncontrollable circumstances arise. Their time at Mercy will have a lasting impact on their marriage and, ultimately, their family.
