Give the Gift of Hope on Giving Tuesday

November 15, 2017

#GivingTuesday 2017This year, Mercy Multiplied will participate in a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration: #GivingTuesday. This day will take place on November 28, 2017 after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.

Giving Tuesday began in 2012 and has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy. The goal of the event is to connect diverse groups of individuals, communities, and organizations around the world for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving.

In 2015, Giving Tuesday took place in 98 countries and raised 177 million dollars online. Through generosity, Giving Tuesday continues to bring real change in communities throughout the world.

Mercy Multiplied will participate in Giving Tuesday encouraging supporters to #GiveHerHope. Giving to Mercy Multiplied gives hope to young women on their journey to break free from life-controlling issues such as addiction, eating disorders, depression, abuse, and sex trafficking. Each young woman will receive hope to experience healing that comes only through Christ’s unconditional love and life-transforming power.

Mercy Multiplied is a voluntary, biblically based, residential program and completely free of charge to young women ages 13-32. Mercy uses proven methods and counselors, lasts approximately six months, and features a multi-dimensional approach to heal body, mind, and spirit. Mercy addresses the root causes of the issues women face, rather than merely medicating symptoms or modifying external behavior. Mercy’s goal is to help residents permanently stop destructive cycles, discover purpose for their lives, and become productive and thriving individuals.

To support Mercy Multiplied on Giving Tuesday, Mercy is encouraging others to give and help spread the word through social media. Supporters can share compelling graphics and videos of Mercy residents to their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. Click here to learn more about how to support Mercy for Giving Tuesday.
