I was sexually abused by different family members for most of my childhood. It left me feeling used and ashamed. I began struggling with anxiety and depression. Self-harm and addictions consumed my life.
I found out about Mercy through a good family friend. I decided to apply to the program after I’d reached my lowest point following a failed suicide attempt. When I arrived I was so broken and lost.
While in the program, I literally woke up one day and decided that I wasn’t going to let the enemy continue to control me. I was empowered by my choice! I had a major turning point and things started to shift for me.
During my stay at Mercy, God completely restored my self-image. I learned a lot about my worth and value. Rejection was one of the biggest things I feared before coming into Mercy. Now I know that God will never reject me.
After graduating from Mercy, I plan to attend Youth With A Mission and go on to serve others! I want to say thank you to all those who support Mercy. You have been a major part of my healing at Mercy. Because of your generous support, I have been able to find freedom from my past. I know God is going to bless you for how much you have been a blessing to me.
