2020 Graduate Update
“Before Mercy, I was someone who looked dependable, self-sufficient, and stable, but on the inside I hated myself. I was struggling with an addiction to pornography and I was stuck in a never-ending cycle of shame. I couldn’t tell anyone and I felt trapped. I didn’t know how to receive God’s love. I didn’t know who I was, or even how to actually receive forgiveness. My past with an alcoholic father haunted me.
Today, I can truly say that I am an overcomer. I am a child of God- His daughter. I am who He says I am- nothing less. I like to say that I am an overcomer teaching others how to overcome. I now work full time at my church as the office manager and Pastor’s Assistant. I also lead our inner healing team here at the church that walks people through difficult times/events. I have also led a youth girls’ small group through Lies Young Women Believe, teaching them how they can claim truth for themselves. I am so thankful for the journey God has taken me on.”
