Tickets are still available for the annual Merry Mercy Christmas Benefit, which will take place on December 10 at Marriott Cool Springs in Franklin, Tennessee.
This year’s Merry Mercy program features Christian singer, songwriter, and author Tasha Layton. “We are honored to have Tasha Layton as our special guest, bringing her powerful music and message to the evening,” said Rachel Bedenbaugh, Senior Director for Development, who reports that almost 400 people have already registered for the event. “Guests can also expect heartfelt testimonies from individuals whose lives have been transformed by Christ through their time at Mercy, which always remind us why we do what we do.”
Some of those testimonies will come from clients at one of Mercy’s new Centers for Wellness and Counseling (CWC), and Lauren Hobar, Mercy’s National Director of Philanthropy, is excited about that. “I can’t wait for our attendees to hear from Mercy CWC Clients. Their stories are living proof of transformation and hope, which is what Merry Mercy is all about.
“Merry Mercy is our way of gathering supporters to celebrate the work God is doing through Mercy Multiplied,” Hobar commented. “It’s a night to reflect on His faithfulness, share stories of life-transformation, and invite others to join us in continuing this vital mission.”
Mercy supporters can also look forward to inspiring remarks from Founder and President, Nancy Alcorn, who will be on hand with ministry updates. Hosting the event will be Mike and Stephanie Burnette, Lead Pastors at LifePoint Church in Clarksville, Tennessee, and this year’s honorary co-chairs. A three-course plated dinner specifically curated for the event will be served.
“It’s incredible to see how this event continues to grow each year, with so many hearts eager to support the mission of Mercy Multiplied,” Bedenbaugh commented.
Hayley Freels, Mercy’s Community Relations Manager in Nashville, is one of the event coordinators. “Planning Merry Mercy has been an absolute joy. It’s a lot of work but seeing so many people come together for a shared mission makes every moment worth it. Collaborating with our team and watching this vision come to life has been such a blessing.”
The team is counting the days until this year’s event with great anticipation. “I think participants are going to be deeply moved by Tasha Layton’s performance and the powerful testimonies we have planned,” said Freels. “There’s something for everyone to connect with, and I know they’ll leave inspired by the impact of Mercy’s work.”
All agree this year’s Merry Mercy Christmas Benefit promises to be a very special event. “I’m most excited to witness how God moves through the night,” said Bedenbaugh. “The energy of this event, the stories of transformation, and the generosity of our community make Merry Mercy truly special.”
“It’s an opportunity to reflect on God’s ongoing provision and anticipate the incredible ways He will work in the future,” Hobar added. “With Tasha Layton as our featured guest and Mike and Stephanie Burnette serving as our inspiring honorary co-chairs, this year’s event promises to be truly memorable!”
