Support Mercy by Giving Local
April 20, 2017
Give Local America is a nationwide event to support local nonprofits. This year, Mercy Multiplied will take part in the 24-hour online giving event in two communities, on two different days, with one reason to give. On May 3rd, Mercy will participate in The Big Payback held in Nashville, Tennessee. On May 4th, Mercy will participate in the Big Day of Giving held in Sacramento, California.
Give Local America’s mission is to encourage people to support their local nonprofits for their hard work to help keep communities strong. On behalf of Mercy Multiplied’s residential homes for young women in Sacramento and Nashville, Mercy hopes to create awareness and funding for its work and mission in these communities. Funds raised will help Mercy continue to provide its program completely free of charge and respond to the more than 1,000 calls per month from young women struggling with debilitating, life-controlling issues.
On Wednesday, May 3rd, at 12 a.m. the Give Local event will begin for Nashville. Supporters will be able to give through Mercy’s Big Payback profile for 24 hours. As the Nashville window will closes at midnight, the Sacramento giving campaign will begin. On Thursday, May 4th, until midnight, supporters will be able to give through Mercy’s Big Day of Giving profile. Click here for more information on how to give.
For this event, matching sponsorships are being offered to increase gifts to Mercy. All of Mercy’s Big Payback donations will be matched up to $5,000 thanks to Mercy graduate, Kathryne Coonce, and her husband Jon of Specialized Truck Repair. Sacramento’s Big Day of Giving donations will be matched up to $2,000 thanks to Debra Massie with Lyons Real Estate.
Mark your calendars! Give Local America starts May 3rd. Make sure to watch your inbox and Mercy’s social media channels for an inside look on our mission and the ONE reason to give. Mercy looks forward to a great day of giving that will make a life-transforming difference in the lives of hurting girls.
