Before Mercy I had no sense of identity, little self-worth, struggled in secret, and was often on a roller coaster of doing what I thought was well and then plummeting.
My parents reached out to friends for Christian recovery programs and heard about Mercy Multiplied. I decided to apply because it made me feel hopeful and at the time I was completely hopeless but knew God had been good in the past.
The book Boundaries by John Townsend was a big turning point for me while I was at Mercy. I began to see that I was allowed to take care of myself and I began gaining confidence.
While at Mercy, God showed me that He has been with me through all the bad but that He did not cause it. He showed me how much He loves me and how powerfully He works in my life. He has absolutely proven to me that He is so faithful.
After Mercy, I plan to go on a 3 month mission trip to South Africa, work at a bible camp for the summer as a mentor, and go back to college to play lacrosse and pursue a career as a kindergarten teacher, yay!
