After years of struggling with anxiety, depression, and the effects of past abuse, recent Mercy graduate Lauren says her life has been completely transformed.  She credits this to the healing she found in Christ through Mercy Multiplied’s Residential Counseling Program.

“I pulled away from my budding faith and felt more lost than ever,” Lauren said. “I worked nonstop to try and fix myself, but nothing seemed to help. A mentor encouraged me to apply to Mercy Multiplied. When I was accepted, I was scared, but I showed up.”

At Mercy, Lauren participated in structured counseling, discipleship, and practical life skills training. Through the program’s emphasis on God’s unconditional love and life-transforming power, she said she began to experience deep emotional and spiritual healing.

Lauren says she now feels hopeful about the future because she has learned how to walk in freedom. “Mercy gave me space to confront what I was going through, but more importantly, it introduced me to who I am in Christ,” she said. “That changed everything for me.”

Mercy’s Founder and President is Nancy Alcorn, who established the residential program for young women in 1983. Alcorn had worked in state programs and witnessed first-hand the limitations of government approaches to helping young women who were struggling. The voluntary Residential counseling Program at Mercy Multiplied is biblically based and provided free-of-charge to women ages 13-32 facing life-controlling issues and situation like trauma, addiction, eating disorders, self-harm, and unplanned pregnancy. Mercy Multiplied is completely funded by generous donors.
