Mercy’s Outreach Services is hosting a new one-hour webinar event titled “Boundaries: What They Are and How to Communicate Them.” Scheduled for July 24, this event is part of Mercy’s MPower leader training series and features two of the most popular video teachings from the MPower eCourse.
According to Erin Gentry, interim Senior Director of Outreach, the one-hour event is designed to equip participants with practical tools for setting healthy boundaries and communicating them with confidence. “The webinar is actually just 50 minutes,” says Gentry. “Each video will be followed by time for personal reflection or group discussion, and we encourage watching with a group to get the most out of the discussion time.”
Participants can watch the webinar from any location, and Mercy will offer live host sites in Nashville, Tennessee; West Monroe, Louisiana; St. Louis, Missouri; and Sacramento, California.
Marshall Gallagher, pastor of Hope Community Church in Nashville and consulting Church Strategy Advisor for Mercy, says the information in this webinar is helpful for anyone but is certainly applicable to those who work in local church ministry. “Healthy boundaries are pretty essential to staying healthy as a leader,” says Gallagher. “I think Mercy’s teaching on Boundaries offers some great reminders of important principles.”
Mercy developed the MPower Workshop in 2015. More than 5,000 church leaders and volunteers have participated in MPower training. The MPower eCourse was released in 2023.
Information presented in the webinar includes concepts discussed in the New York Times best-selling book Boundaries by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend, which has sold over 20 million copies.
