Last week, our Sacramento, Nashville, and Monroe homes warmly opened their doors to host the quarterly Friends of Mercy Luncheon. These luncheons were an opportunity for members of the community to learn more about Mercy Multiplied and fellowship with Mercy residents, supporters, and staff. Connections were made as many long-time Mercy supporters brought friends and colleagues to the luncheon so they could see the incredible impact Mercy has had in bringing freedom to so many young women.

During each luncheon, attendees enjoy a complimentary catered meal while hearing about the mission of Mercy Multiplied, followed by inspiring stories of hope and freedom from a current Mercy resident or graduate. Senior Development Manager, Kerri Naber, speaks to the impact these luncheons can have, “So many times the tears around the room are not only from hearing the young women’s testimonies, but it is the hope swelling up that freedom is possible for all, that if God can do it for this Mercy resident, He can do it for all of us.”

At the Sacramento luncheon, many attendees drove in from out of town to hear the stories of what God is doing at Mercy. They had the pleasure of hearing Makayla, 2015 Monroe graduate, share her beautiful story of transformation and her love for Mercy.

The Nashville home was honored to have many longtime supporters in attendance including community board member Lisa Givens, Pastor Greg Brewer from Christ Church, and board member Matt Meinel. St. Louis graduate Lindsay spoke about her healing journey and how she was able to break free from her addictions and struggles through the help of Mercy.

In our Monroe home, attendees had lunch with our young women and heard an uplifting testimony from a current resident. After lunch, guests were offered a tour of the facilities and connected with staff and other community members.

Mercy is so grateful for everyone that attended our luncheons last week. “It is a great blessing when people take time out of their schedule to visit our Mercy home for the luncheons. We pray that they were inspired by the testimonies they heard and reminded that with God nothing is impossible!” says Lauren Hobar, Director of Fundraising.
