My life before Mercy was in shambles. I was broken and hated myself for so long that I did not care anymore. I was angry and blamed others for the choices I had made. I also had the mouth of a sailor and cursed all the time.
My time at Mercy has not been easy, but it has been worth it. There are two things God has shown me while I have been at Mercy. The first thing I have learned is that forgiveness dulls the pain of the hurt I experienced and is ultimately beneficial for me. Another thing I have learned at Mercy is that loving yourself means seeing yourself the way God does, which is beautiful and priceless. As I leave Mercy, I know life will not be easy, but I will wear the armor of God at all times and never take it off, no matter what.
After leaving Mercy, I will be going home to take care of my physical health now that I have taken care of my mental health. During this time, I will be saving up money so I can go to theatre school at a Christian theatre company. After graduating, my goal is to start my own Christian theatre company to take back the arts for Jesus. I know that my life will not be perfect, and I will have trials. But Mercy and God have given me the tools I need to get through it.
Thank you so much! It is because of your generous giving that I was able to get the help I needed. It is such a gift to be able to come here for free and that is only possible through generous donors like you! God bless you and your families!
