Before coming to Mercy, I was addicted to people and their approval. I hated myself and saw no reason for living. I heard about Mercy from a friend who also went to the home in Monroe. I decided to apply because I was tired of how I was living. I was miserable, and I had absolutely no self-confidence.

A turning point for me happened when I was able to break the soul ties from my abusive relationship, as well as burying my old self and any lingering ties to my past relationship. During my time at Mercy, God has completely transformed me and my perspective. For once in my life I’m excited about my future and serving the Lord. I’ve learned that my true identity is in Him and not to exalt the enemy’s voice above His.

After I graduate I will be attending college to become a victim’s advocate for those experiencing abuse. Thank you so much to the donors and supporters for helping me change my life. If it wasn’t for you and your support I would not be able to be here. I thank the Lord for people like you. Your heart of gratitude reflects the Father’s heart and I know He will pour out blessings upon you.
