Adoption is a journey that impacts multiple people who are coming together for the love of a child.

Before coming to Mercy, Christina struggled with many things and got to a point in her life where she just didn’t care if she was dead or alive. After finding out she was pregnant, she decided to get help at Mercy.

At Mercy, Christina was surrounded by loving staff and counselors who were able to support her through our Basic Decision Making classes. It was through these classes she was able to make an informed decision to either parent or place her child for adoption. As a 17-year-old, she decided the best option for her daughter was to place her for adoption.

Jeff and Sarah struggled for years with infertility and made the decision to start the adoption process at Mercy Multiplied due to the support Mercy provides to the Birth Mothers.

After looking through adoptive family profiles, Christina made the decision to meet Jeff and Sarah. As soon as she met them and spent time with them, she knew they were the perfect parents for her daughter Melrose. Together they decided to have an open adoption and today, Christina has a wonderful relationship with Jeff, Sarah, and her daughter Melrose.
