Christina – 2017 Graduate
I had a very troubling childhood. I suffered from abuse, addictions, depression, and self-harm. I also had an unplanned pregnancy. I learned about Mercy through a past graduate. A huge turning point for me at Mercy was the support I got from the Mercy staff in prayer as I was going through the legal portion of adoption.
God has revealed to me that I am not a mistake or a disappointment. My sin is not any worse than anyone else’s sin. I also have learned that God’s love is unconditional, so I can always count on Him even when others fail me.
After Mercy, I plan on going to college to pursue a career in political travel journalism. I also hope to educate teen moms on their options for unplanned pregnancy.
To the Mercy supporters, thank you so much for helping me at my second chance to live. Without Mercy, I don’t know if I would have lived to see 18. Now I can live my life to the fullest.
