Before Mercy, my life was one of destruction. I was so lost and alone. I was stuck in a cycle of different kinds of abuse. I couldn’t say no to drugs and alcohol. I was involved in satanism and witchcraft and thought that was my lot in life.
My mom told me about Mercy. I decided to apply because I couldn’t keep living the way I was living if I really wanted to live. I wanted to change. I wanted a new life.
I was scared when I first arrived at Mercy. I don’t know what I expected to get out of being here, but right away I felt at home.
A major turning point for me was when I surrendered my false beliefs about God. I gave up trying to understand who He is and let Him show me and love me.
During my time at Mercy, God has given me my life back! He has shown me who He is and who I am. He has given me hope for all things. He has reconciled me to my family. He has fixed all of the pieces that I broke. He has shown me how loved I am.
After Mercy, I plan on attending college and becoming a social worker.
Thank you to all the donors! Thank you for making this possible. Thank you for partnering with God. It wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you for saving my life.
