Before Mercy, I struggled with anxiety and depression. I had experienced abuse and did not know how to cope with the pain. As a result, I developed an eating disorder and started self-harming.
I’m so grateful for the healing, loving environment I found at Mercy! There, I encountered the truth about the freedom we have in Christ and was equipped with the tools to walk in that freedom.
After graduating from Mercy, I finished college and married an Army soldier. We have been blessed with four children. I have stayed connected to Mercy by coordinating letter writing between Mercy residents and soldiers’ families. I am also the service coordinator for a mother of preschoolers’ ministry and have a heart to bless pregnant Mercy residents with baby items.
