Ashland – 2014 Graduate
My parents divorced when I was three years old, and I experienced three more bad divorces before the age of 10. I never knew what a healthy relationship looked like, which affected my decision making with my own relationships. I started using drugs when I was 17 and continued until I was 20.Highlight
I found out about Mercy through a safe house for women in addiction. I knew that I needed help so I decided to apply to Mercy. When I got to Mercy I was nervous but was ready to “kick some butt!”Highlight
The counseling I received at Mercy helped me very much. It was definitely a process to renew my mind—transformation didn’t happen overnight.
At Mercy I learned that I am a new creation in Christ, and I am not the same person I used to be. God has taken my blinders off. My journey is not over, but I have come very far.
After graduation, I hope to get plugged into church and start a Celebrate Recovery program there.
I would like to tell Mercy donors that if it were not for you, I would not have the life that I have now. Your support of Mercy saves lives. Thank you!
