Growing up, my mother was an alcoholic and my dad traveled a lot. I never really had a normal childhood. I never really got to play outside or play with friends. I had electronics to keep me busy all the time. It really wasn’t a healthy environment. My birth mom died when I was 12 and my step mom moved in with her 3 sons before my 13th birthday. So, it was a really fast transition. I got into bad relationships that were not healthy at all. That is when I came to Mercy. I found out about Mercy through my parents. I decided to apply because I knew if I didn’t get help, I might never get help. I was very excited to be here.

During my time at Mercy, I really learned to love my parents and trust in the Lord more. God has done so many things. He gave me a new hope for the future. I learned not everything is going to be easy, but I can definitely get through it with Him.

To the donors and supporters, thank you so much for what you have done for me. You have helped me so much to become the person that God really sees in me. You have been so helpful to help provide for me to be here.
