Allison grew up believing she had to be perfect. Struggling with comparison, she developed an eating disorder that she kept secret throughout high school. During her senior year, she was frequently in and out of the hospital, and shame weighed heavily on every part of her life. It was then that her mother gave her Mercy Moves Mountains, which inspired Allison to apply to Mercy.

When she walked through the doors of Mercy, Allison felt an overwhelming sense of peace, like she could finally breathe. At Mercy, Allison began to truly understand who God is and who she is in Christ, which quickly faded her desire to prove herself to the world. Now, she faces the future with confidence, knowing her foundation is fully in Christ.
