Go Back to Lives Transformed

Tiffiny – 2015 Graduate

TiffnyI was abused as a young child due to alcoholic and unstable parents. I was placed into foster care and later adopted by great Christian parents. I began to struggle with an eating disorder and self-harm when I was 16. I was in a relationship filled with secrets, heart break, and manipulation. My struggles were further enforced when a co-worker sexually harassed me during work. I faced rejection and the loss of family members and soon became depressed. My depression led deeper into a hole with self-harm and eating disorder.  I knew I needed to find a way out.

I found out about Mercy through a family friend. I decided to apply because I knew I couldn’t hide anymore and live with the pain I was feeling inside. Entering Mercy, I was filled with a lot of anger, embarrassment, low self-esteem, regret and shame.

While at Mercy I was healed from every addictive behavior that I came in with. I began to take a hard look at what I wanted and began to utilize the tools Mercy taught me. I have learned that God loves me very much and wants the best for my life.

After graduating from Mercy I plan on going home to live with my parents until I begin college in August of 2016. I will be returning to complete a Masters Degree in Nursing.

Thank you so much, to all the Mercy supporters, for making it possible for me to come to Mercy, free of charge, and to receive healing and restoration in my life. I can now walk out and say I am redeemed and set free!
