Go Back to Lives Transformed

Maddison – 2012 Graduate

MaddisonGrowing up, my mother struggled with anorexia and over-eating, and her insecurities sent me mixed messages about confidence. I looked to my mom for direction, so I didn’t know how to accept who God made me to be. After battling depression and anorexia for most of my life, I applied to Mercy at the suggestion of my mother-in-law. Satan had full control of my life, and I truly wanted to change. When I arrived, I was so scared and ashamed of my struggles, but God’s love began to work.

While at Mercy, God has completely transformed my life by renewing my mind. I’ve learned who I am through Christ, and I’ve rediscovered my passion and dreams. Today, I’m excited for my future, and I LOVE waking up to see what God is going to show me.

After graduation, I will go home to my husband and will become involved in our church. I also hope to soon start a family. Before Mercy, I was paralyzed by the evil one’s lies, but now I live in freedom because of the love of my Savior.
