Before Mercy, I didn’t have a real sense of who I was and had a lot of insecurities. That is why I turned to using other things to feel better. I tried to find my identity and value in them.
At Mercy, I’ve learned so many things that will benefit my life. God has taught me to trust in Him and what He says about me. He has become my source of security, comfort, strength, love, and hope. I have really grown in my faith and in my confidence to call on His name to declare freedom. He has also taught me to give myself grace because I have been so hard on myself in the past.
My future goals include getting involved in church, meeting with my accountability partner weekly to grow, finishing school, and finding a part-time job. I desire to grow in the spiritual gifts God has given me and do what He is calling me to do with my life. I want to become a nurse and help people who have had similar struggles as me.
To the donors, thank you so much for being a part of my healing journey! It has been an absolute blessing to be here, and I am so grateful I made the decision to let God change me. The Lord has been so good to me, and I can’t wait to see what He has in store for me.
