Before Mercy, my life was chaotic and full of abuse, addiction, and depression. I had no desire to live, I thought God didn’t love me, and my future seemed to have no hope.
My stepmother found Mercy. She convinced me that I had too many problems for one person to handle on their own and that I was broken. When I arrived, I was full of pain, and I had walls up, because I felt that I couldn’t trust God or anyone else.
While at Mercy, God showed up for me at the True Image conference. This was the first time I heard Him speak to me and my relationship with Him grew dramatically from that point on. This is also where He began to help me break down some of my walls and begin to trust Him and the authority He placed over me at Mercy.
God has shown me what true love looks like, and that I am worthy of restoration and blessing in His eyes. He has taught me that He desires to give grace and forgiveness, not harsh punishment, and when I do face consequences for my actions, He is always by my side to help me walk through them. God has healed me of so many wounds, and He gave me purpose and hope for my future. He has shown me that it’s okay to be different and unique, because He made me like that for a reason!
After Mercy, I plan to go to school and get fully certified as a mechanic, write and publish children’s books, be a songwriter and worship leader, and have a side job as an artist. I also plan to eventually get married and be a mother.
To the donors, thank you so much for investing in my life. Even though you may never meet me, know that your support made a huge difference in my life! If it wasn’t for you, I might not be alive today. God has used you in more ways than you can ever know. I pray all the time that you would be as blessed as my Mercy sisters and I have been through your love and support. You are such a blessing!
