Delaware Freedom Experience a Success

April 27, 2017

The Freedom Experience equipped hundreds with tools to live free and stay free last Friday and Saturday in New Castle, Delaware. The Mercy Multiplied event, hosted by Seeds of Greatness Bible Church (SOGBC), featured Mercy Multiplied Founder and President, Nancy Alcorn, and guest speakers Pastor Jerome and Lisa Lewis of SOGBC. Worship was led by singer-songwriter, Anthony Evans, who currently has the #1 Billboard Gospel album.

“It has been nothing short of phenomenal having Mercy Multiplied here this weekend sharing The Freedom Experience!” said Lisa Lewis.

The two-day event offered sessions covering the seven keys to freedom signature to Mercy’s residential program, including, “Committing and Connecting with Christ,” “Choosing to Forgive,” “Breaking Generational Patterns,” “Freedom from Oppression,” and “Unlocking Your Future.”

Other speakers and teachers included, Mercy Multiplied’s Director of Outreach, Melanie Wise, who taught a session, “Renewing the Mind.” Cheryl Bangs, Lead Associate Pastor at Bayside Church of Citrus Heights and former Mercy Multiplied Program Director, shared a message on “Healing Life’s Hurts.” Kamela Smith, co-leader of the SOGBC host and hostess ministry, tag-teamed her teaching with Pastor Jerome Lewis.

The event was emceed by the SOGBC Vantage Point team including, Natalie Torres Washington, Lori Thompson-Hayes, Serge-Marie Valentin Pierce, and A’Lexa Hawkins. The team brought a unique energy to the service and filled the audience with laughter.

Hawkins and Smith were also a part of a dramatic and powerful presentation by the Word in Motion dance team as they performed to “Break Every Chain”.

“I sense that there is a tremendous need in people of all ages to be released from the struggles they’ve been carrying for a long time. The depth of Mercy’s experience in these things makes this an amazing opportunity to get ‘unstuck,’” said Hawkins. “I sense that God wants to do something through Freedom Experience, and I am honored to be able to support it and be a part of it.”

Mercy Multiplied graduate Camillia shared her powerful testimony and how God helped her combat the lie she believed before she attended Mercy: “I will always be this way, and I will never get better.” She shared one of her “truth statements” she created while she was in the Mercy program in 2011: “I’m not too far gone to be helped. God has healed me body, mind, and soul. Sickness, disease, and torment have no place in or around this body. I am healed in every way.”

Mercy Multiplied Community Relations Manager Adrienne Lindsey, aided in planning the event. Ren Harvey, Resource Manager, and Haley Conner, Donor Database Supervisor, drove 773 miles across four states with Mercy Multiplied resources for attendees to enjoy and apply to their lives beyond the conference.

To follow the Freedom Experience, Nancy Alcorn shared a message about unity of God’s people during the Seeds of Greatness Sunday service. She reflected on the transformative weekend and the gracious hospitality shown by Seeds of Greatness, “We had a great time this weekend. I’m honored to be here with your leaders, Pastor Jerome and Lisa Lewis.”
