Why Set Goals?

Last week we discussed the importance of setting goals instead of resolutions in order to experience a higher chance of success. But why bother setting goals in the first place? What’s the point?

There is a saying that goes: “People with goals succeed because they know where they are going.” When we have goals for our lives – whether these are short term or long term goals – they position us to have focus and an end in mind. When we have an idea of where we are going, it positions us to have vision and focus in our day-to-day living. Scripture is clear that people with a vision will be blessed and happy – because they are focused and looking forward to what is ahead (Proverbs 29:18).

So, how are you doing in the goal-setting department?

Do you have focus and vision for the days ahead?

If so, what are some things that you are looking forward to?

We encourage you to assess if goal setting is something you have created margin for…and then come back next week as we chat through HOW to set goals for yourself.
