Priscilla Shirer Live Simulcast Blesses Mercy in More Ways than One

This past Saturday, nearly 4,500 women attended the Priscilla Shirer Live conference in Huntsville, Alabama, and thousands more watched via simulcast in 150 churches world-wide. Mercy residents in our Nashville and Monroe homes were among those who participated in the simulcast through local churches, where they were blessed by the day of worship and Bible teaching.

For the past sixteen years, Priscilla has been in full-time ministry to women. She and her husband Jerry have founded Going Beyond Ministries and count it as their privilege to serve believers across the entire spectrum of the body of Christ. Priscilla is the author of more than a dozen books and Bible studies on a myriad of topics and Biblical characters. She is passionate about ministry and through illustrative teaching of the Word of God, she desires to see people not only know the uncompromising truths of Scripture intellectually but experience them practically by the power of the Holy Spirit.

In addition to our residents and staff being blessed by Priscilla’s teaching, Mercy was featured at the event. Each year, Priscilla chooses a ministry to highlight and support through her conferences and simulcasts. Thousands of dollars were given to Mercy on Saturday, and more donations are still coming in. The Mercy booth that was set up on the main concourse was continuously busy with women wanting to learn more about our organization, tell their stories, and take our resources back home to share with others. It was an incredible day of connecting with thousands of women who had never heard about Mercy before!

Mercy is thankful for Priscilla’s support and the generous hospitality of The Fellowship at Two Rivers church in Nashville and New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West Monroe for hosting our residents at the simulcast.
