MERCY MINISTRIES is now MERCY MULTIPLIED!
October 1, 2015
On Monday, Mercy Ministries unveiled a new name and look. After over three decades of helping thousands of young women break free from life-controlling issues, Mercy Ministries is now Mercy Multiplied. The rebrand is the positive outcome of the organization’s expansion and broadening footprint as it “multiplies” Mercy outside of its residential homes through new outreach initiatives.
More than a new logo, Mercy’s rebrand stands on the firm foundation of its 94% program success rate and propels Mercy’s mission to a broader audience. Mercy will continue to provide its free-of-charge residential program to young women ages 13-28, plus offer outreach programs based on the same biblically based principles to people of all ages and backgrounds.
“Those who have experienced Mercy, understand its multiplying effect,” said Melanie Carter, Mercy Director of Outreach. “Once someone experiences mercy and finds freedom in their walk with Christ, they can’t help but take that out to others who are struggling and in pain.”
Mercy graduates get this. One only needs to look at the many Success Stories on Mercy’s website to see how these young women have overcome issues such as eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sexual abuse and gone on to impact the world as missionaries, mothers, teachers, nurses, and business women.
Mercy Multiplied’s goal is to take this impact further, reaching even more people through its new conferences, workshops, Bible studies and curriculum. Mercy believes anyone struggling with the everyday bad habit to the most traumatic of situations can gain the tools and perspective necessary to permanently stop destructive cycles, find lasting freedom, and then pass it on to help others.
“It is the cornerstone of our faith and the central message of our organization,” said Carter. “It’s about getting involved in God’s mission on the earth, because to make a God-sized difference in this world, we ALL have to get involved! Each of us needs to be the ‘Me’ in ‘Mercy’!”
Mercy Multiplied will celebrate this organizational milestone with an Open House at its flagship Nashville location on Friday, October 2 from 11:00-2:00 p.m. Staff and graduates from Mercy’s four U.S. locations and the United Kingdom and many long-time Mercy supporters will be on hand for the festivities. Visitors will enjoy light refreshments and be able to take tours of the corporate office and Nashville Mercy home. Please call 615-831-6987 for more information.
Following the Open House, Mercy will host its first-ever live event, The Freedom Experience, at Christ Church in Nashville on Friday night and Saturday. Approximately 500 people will experience Mercy Multiplied in action. Mercy Founder and President Nancy Alcorn and several of Mercy’s top leaders will teach the seven keys to lasting freedom used in the Mercy homes and found in Alcorn’s new book Ditch the Baggage, Change Your Life set to release October 6.
